Over Valentines weekend, I had the privilege and honor of photographing Caryn + Landon’s Newport California Wedding. I drove up to California on Valentine’s Day to capture Caryn + Landon’s first look and do bridals on the beach at Dana Point Harbor. Since we knew rain was in the forecast we had a backup plan that we had defaulted to, days prior since the forecast was pretty set on rain. About 1.5 hours before I got into town, Caryn said the rain was going to let up so we were able to capture some amazing photos after the rain!! It was super cold and windy, but these two powered through it and I love the end result. They also had an amazing entourage to help keep Caryn’s dress clean for the wedding.
The next day, Caryn + Landon were sealed at the Newport Beach Temple. As they exited, the doors, they were surrounded by all their family and friends. Fortunately the rain held off again, for us to do all their portraits outdoors. After family photos and more couples portraits, they headed off to lunch and we all met back for their reception at Wedgewood Weddings at Aliso Viejo. It was a fun reception filled with dinner, toasts, special dances, a photobooth, donut & candy bar and of course cake! They wanted to do a glow stick exit outside but the rain wouldn’t hold off any longer!! We were able to capture some epic rain photos so that was definitely worth it.
Thank you both so much for trusting me to come all the way from AZ to photograph the most important day of your lives. I truly hope you cherish these photos and look back at these memories and remember what an amazing day it was. It’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both and I’m so excited for your journey to continue as you enter into marriage. I can’t wait to keep in touch and hear what’s new with you both. Always make time to keep dating each other, looking for ways to be romantic and serve one another. I wish you both the best of luck in all you do and love you both!!
